Hope is not defined by the absence of hardship. Rather, hope is found in God’s grace in the midst of hardship. Hope is found in His promise to give us a future.

Biblical Counseling

Life can be hard. Whether you’re walking through a current trail, stress/anxiety, grieving a loss, in need of healing from current/past trauma, or experiencing strongholds or unhealthy relationships in your life, know you are not alone. God sees you, is pursuing you and loves you with an unending love. He desires you to live into the abundant life He has prepared for you - to live freely in His love and grace.

Our Hope is in Christ

Christ restores, redeems, delivers, heals, and makes all things new. He calls, transforms, guides, lavishes us with His peace and joy, and leads us in clarity and purpose.

No matter what you are facing and walking through, don’t loose hope.

Hope isn’t found in circumstances, but rather a Person. True and lasting hope is IN Christ, the Father and Spirit. Not just what they can do.

Our hope is IN a relationship with Jesus. It’s in the assurance that He is drawing close to us. That He is active and working His perfect will for His glory and purposes. Our hope is that He knows us, sees us, feels us. He aches when we ache. He holds our longings and desires. He is healing and making us whole. Wholly His.

Our hope is in the fact that Jesus will continue to fulfill His plans, even though it feels hard. His presence is real. His ways are perfect. He guides and shows and teaches and heals.

Hope, is it real? Yes, yes and yes! And His Name is Jesus.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
— Lamentations 3:22-23

What to expect from Biblical Counseling

  • Sessions begin with prayer and prayerful silence as we lean into the Holy Spirit’s presence and seek His guidance. With the Spirit’s guidance and the truth of Scripture, client and counselor work together to understand the core of the struggles experienced and develop together goals to move towards healing and restoration.

  • It is important to remember that God meets us right where we are. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, nor is anything too hard to too far gone for our God. We can be honest before God and rest in His unfailing love.

  • Most sessions are on an individual basis, however, couple or group sessions can be beneficial at specific times.

  • “(Life) is a journey… No one is ahead of you or behind you. You are not more ‘advanced’ or less enlightened. You are exactly where you need to be. It’s not a contest… It’s life. We are all students and we are all teachers.” As a Biblical Counselor and Spiritual Director, it is my privilege to walk with and wait beside you in your current faith journey.

Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
— Matthew 11:28-30
